Cocoa cottage is located in the heart of Roseau Valley, 4 miles up the mountains from the capital Roseau but a world apart! At an altitude of 800 ft above sea level, we enjoy cool evenings and a lush rainforest style of living all year round.
Roseau Valley is the home for Morne Trois Pitons National Park. The only UNESCO Natural Heritage Site in the Eastern Caribbean containing "The greatest bio diversity in the lesser Antilles".
Within a 15 minute drive from Cocoa Cottage you'll find yourself at the starting point of many beautiful trails and lakes such as Trafalgar Falls, Middleham Falls, Freshwater Lake, Boeri Lake, Titou Gorge, Boiling lake and some superb canyons that can only be reached by ropes and are the ultimate adrenaline rush. Finish the day in a hot water pool at Screw's or get a massage at Shangri La. Both are minutes away.

Come Canyoning with us. The action happens where the rock meets the water, in rivers hidden by the virgin rainforest. The idea is to climb over waterfalls, swim through blue pools, hike over riverbeds, rappel and abseil into the base of the cascade; using the natural environment as our adventure park. Diving and Snorkeling - Dominica is also one of the top five-dive underwater photography destinations in the world. Dominica's underwater world offers vertical walls, shallow coral gardens and unusual marine life. There are massive Barrel Sponges, clusters of Tube Sponges, forests of Black Coral as well as large numbers of fish.
A short drive from Cocoa Cottage will take you to most dive operations on the South West side of the island offering drive trips to Soufriere/Scott's Head Marine Reserve and Champagne known for its bubbly volcanic gases, as well as Whale Watching trips all year round.
Directions to Cocoa Cottage
If you are coming from either Melville Hall Airport of Canefield Airport, take the road heading south towards Roseau.
Arriving to Roseau from the North via Independence Street until you reach King George V Street.
Turn left of King George V. The street takes you out of town east towards Trafalgar Falls area.
Follow the road until you reach a two way fork. Take the one on the left hand side and climb the hill (the road on the right hand side leads to Wotten Waven).
Climb the road up the hill until you reach a second fork. This time take the road on the right hand side towards Trafalgar Falls (the upper road leads to Laudat).
Drive for another 5 minutes. We are on the right hand side of the road - look for our big orange sign.
